AIRSOFT / MILSIM DISCUSSION

Post  Snake on Fri Jan 02, 2009 2:55 am

Ok people, I noted that there are people here in the forums which are either airsoft or MilSIM (Military Simulation) "players" (just like me).

If you like to talk about airsoft/MilSim, share some of those funny and epic moments, show off your gear (uniforms, guns, camouflages, etc.) this is the perfect place to do so Thumbs Up!

Well, I use all kinds of weaponry (sometimes we switch guns among the team, though I prefer to keep my "Betsy" - my M4A1 SOPMOD queen , close.

My current airsoft gear:

Primary Weapons:
- M4A1 "Betsy" SOPMOD (my main "babe") queen ;
- G36C (Commando);
- M4 (standard version, fixed top);
- HK33A3;
- MP5N (Navy).

Secondary Weapons:
- Mk.23 SOCOM Mod 0 (my main pistol, big pistol for a big dude Razz) queen ;
- Colt M1911A1.

Note that the queen - marked guns are my standard weaponry.

I loved to play airsoft, unfortunately, as I get older, it's gradually becoming more difficult to play (to find time for it, but it's always a great experience when I do sunny ).

Nice, nice!!!

Great selection, me and my friends were also adapting a spud cannon to fire some special rounds filled with BB's for very long ranges (there were some problems with the "rounds" though, those couldn't withstand the huge pressure from the spud cannon and "prematurely exploded" in a 6mm BB shower Razz Razz Razz

Though if we continue to build it, we may be able to create sort of a small "BB Artillery" or "BB Mortar". Even so, this project wasn't as ambitions as the Carzilla Project Laughing

lol! I personally love to mod affordable classic cars like, let's suppose, Fiat Panda, and modify them into deadly airsoft terminators:

Cya later Thumbs Up!

Yeah, the jeep is too precious to be hit with BB's Embarassed , if you ever do so, I recommend you buy one of those cheap/old cars.

My first AEG (Automatic Electric Gun) was the G36C (Commando).

The model I have is just like this one (I don't have the orange-colored flash hider/ and orange colored suppressor though).

About the orange coloration on the particular gun in the pic, it's a law in many US states ("unrealistic" coloring) to difference them from real guns (several other countries have other similar laws with other colors, etc.).

Also, it's common knowledge on the airsoft community to:
NEVER CARRY OR SHOW THE WEAPON IN PUBLIC (or in any populated area).

Since most Airsoft guns are replicas of real weapons, the probability of people mistaking them for the real thing is obviously Extremely High.

Recent cases in some countries where children and people using airsoft guns in public and even going as far as trying armed robbery and assault are VERY WORRYING for the veteran airsoft players like me which had to battle to even gain the status of "legality" (most "green" players these days have no idea of the trouble that many of us airsoft veterans had to get through to even be accepted as "legal" by the governments.

Airsoft has been experiencing a "boom" in these last years, it's now public knowledge and there are masses of new players joining in. While this is obviously good on one hand, on the other hand the accidents like the ones mentioned earlier are dramatically increasing and are worrying older players of their possible consequences.

Play safely, by the rules and have a Happy New Year!!! Thumbs Up!

Hey y'all, I found a very interesting site where we can create airsoft guns from a great selection, the site (Pimp My Airsoft!) haves tons of possible choices and we can drag'n drop a lot of stuff to create interesting models.

Here are a couple of "recreations" of some of my airsoft weapons:

M4A1 "Betsy" SOPMOD:

Note that my "Betsy" is completely black colored and haves a special scope which wasn't available on the site (it's the scope from the Italian Beretta Rx4 Storm assault rifle), also I usually use even more accessories (which I didn't include due to avoid cluttering up the model).

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

G36C:

Just like the Betsy, I didn't include many accessories, the accessories are adapted to the rails (flashlights, lasers, hand grips, scopes, grenade launchers, etc.)

Here's with the suppressor:
