What is the upward poly count acceptable for an aircraft carrier, any idea. I might have found one for sale but its like 695,000 polys

sorry about the constant posting, I'm sure your busy. If everything matches up right I'll fork out some cash for an aircraft carrier. Alot of variables wether it would work or not though. Its made for a flight simulator game so its probably huge. But anyways I'll let you get back to what you were doing. By the way, love the new vehicle thread.

For sale? pale Sorry mate, I'm afraid we don't have the cash Laughing , if you can find a free model (like a Nimitz aircraft carrier), we would be extremely grateful sunny sunny sunny

In case we can't find free models, we'll have to improvise and do one ourselves (specially by creating a special and large "Aircraft Carrier Project").

The poly count for ships and aircraft carriers is an exception to the rule and can have a much larger limit than land units (specially since they're gonna be big units), however if it's over 100.000 poly, I'm afraid that it might be too difficult to add (the game might not handle such a large poly count well).

Many thanks Cool , I personally was looking to establish a good and specifically dedicated and organized unit "showroom" since it had become clear that "The Art of War Vehicles" thread was disorganized and was becoming a poor response for people who wanted to view the units in an organized fashion. These last days I've been adding the already prepared and released units, more will be added later as they're released Cool!

Here's the previous vehicle dedicated thread:

Oooops, I'm afraid that It's redirected to a C-130 page.

Many thanks Thumbs Up!

Even though we haven't presented many new 3D models this year we did managed to get a in touch and work alongside some very important contributing modelers and obtain permission to use almost all models TAOW will ever need (even on the long run).

Without exaggerating I'd say we currently possess about 80 to 90% of all the models the mod will ever need (and that's a LOT - it also includes naval models for all navies). The reason those were still not presented is because every model will need to be separately worked on for consistency (and also because of another important reason still to be revealed on the TMU).

Coincidentally we also got to know our fellow Naval 3D Modeler (and other very important 3D model contributors) from the Google 3D Warehouse site.
